Research data

What we collect if you opt in, and who can see it.

Research sharing is optional and off by default. It exists so we can learn which communication moves actually help people, using patterns from practice, never your words.

What is collected

For each answer in a Simulate conversation, if you have turned sharing on: the type of scene (for example Career or Customer), the register of the person you were speaking to, the pressure level, the turn number, the tone of your answer (such as calm, hedging or defensive), the cue the other person gave (such as warming or impatient), the communication moves you used (such as acknowledging or offering an option), and how much the other person's mood moved. Dates are stored without the time of day.

What is never collected

Pseudonymous, not anonymous

Rows carry a code made from your account with a secret key that only our server holds. The code lets us link one person's rows together and delete them. It is not your name, but it is not fully anonymous either, so we say pseudonymous.

Who can see it

The raw rows can be read only by the Luwy team's server. Anything shared outside Luwy is an aggregate, such as "how often an acknowledgement was followed by a calmer reply in Customer scenes at pressure level 3", and only where at least 20 different people contribute to that figure. Smaller groups are left out.

Turning it off, and deleting your data

Turn the switch off in Settings, under Privacy and your data. Your rows are deleted at that moment. Deleting your account also deletes them. Your data download includes your research consent record.

How researchers can ask for data

Universities and research groups can request the aggregated tables by emailing [email protected] (subject: Research data request) with the question, the institution, ethics approval or a statement that none is needed, and the figures wanted. We reply within two working days. We do not sell data, and we do not share raw rows.

Version 2026-10-02. This page changes before the data does: any change to what is collected will be shown here and you will be asked again.
